We are proud to once again been named in The Times Top 50 Employers for Gender Equality in the UK.

The benchmark and annual recognition programme run by Business in the Community in partnership with The Times highlights employers that are taking meaningful action to build workplaces where people can thrive regardless of gender.

Monique Carter, Chief People & Organisation Officer, said: “I am thrilled that Anglo American is once again included in The Times Top 50 Employers for Gender Equality. This marks the sixth consecutive year that we have received this recognition – a reflection of the sustained progress we are making in embedding inclusion and diversity across our business.

Creating a gender-inclusive culture is essential to building a workplace where everyone feels safe, valued and able to achieve their full potential. It is also critical to strengthening our performance, enabling innovation and supporting our long-term sustainability.”

Sustained progress, year after year

Achieving Top 50 status for a sixth year reflects the consistency and momentum of our approach to inclusion and diversity. It recognises the progress we continue to make in creating a workplace where everyone can thrive, and where inclusive thinking supports both our people and our business.

To make the Top 50 list, organisations are assessed on the strength of both their policies and workplace culture – from closing pay gaps and enabling career progression to fostering inclusive environments, supporting flexible working and tackling harassment.

Embedding inclusion into how we work

We believe that inclusive workplaces enable everyone to deliver their best work, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, religion, disability, sexual orientation, education or national origin.

This approach is supported by our leadership expectations and underpinned by a strong suite of global and local policies, including those focused on flexible working, family and carer support and our zero-tolerance stance on bullying, harassment and victimisation.

Together, these help us build a psychologically and physically safe workplace for all.
