At our Minas-Rio site in Brazil, we know that success is like a well-performed symphony, which depends on synchronisation, precision and teamwork.
To mark the beginning of this month’s Parada Integrada (Integrated Shutdown), our employees were treated to a special surprise: a heartfelt visit from their families and a special performance by the SESI MG Orchestra.
The event served as a powerful reminder that behind every operational milestone lies a foundation of teamwork, unity and shared purpose. Just as each musician in an orchestra plays their part to create beautiful music, each individual at Minas-Rio plays a vital role in ensuring the safety, efficiency and success of our operations.
The Parada Integrada is the result of extensive and meticulous planning using the FEL (Front-End Loading) methodology. This approach includes multiple workshops focused on identifying risks and opportunities, and refining the project’s scope to improve safety and overall success. Throughout the month of August, our teams will carry out inspections, maintenance and improvement projects across the entire operational chain, from the mine to the port. Each action, whether large or small, contributes towards our broader goal of operational excellence.
