Valéria Lapa, Relations Coordinator for our Minas-Rio iron ore operation in Brazil, is responsible for promoting understanding of Anglo American’s operations and activities at thirty communities in four cities.
In our latest career video, you can see how Valéria works with these communities, builds relationships and hosts regular local meetings in which she highlights the different social and environmental impacts of our operations.
But it doesn’t stop there.
During these meetings, she listens to the concerns of the gathered local people and ensures that all issues are addressed and discussed.
And with her in-depth knowledge of local matters, it’s up to her to figure out where we can make the best social investments to support each respective community’s infrastructure.
