Cynthia Carroll speaks at the SAB Miller Dinner for women with African connections
Anglo American Chief Executive Cynthia Carroll spoke about what the future might bring for Africa and the millions of women who live, work and bring up families there. In this speech, Cynthia highlights the achievements of women working at Anglo American and shares some of the ways we are helping to improve the lives of women through programmes such as our programme for voluntary counselling, testing and anti-retroviral treatment for people with HIV/AIDS.

Cynthia Carroll address to the Fellows of South African Geological Society
Chief executive Cynthia Carroll received a fellowship from the Geographical Society of South Africa in September 2008. On receiving the fellowship, Cynthia began by speaking about Anglo American’s accomplishments and then about how we are facing up to the mining industries challenges.
